Trip to Salt Lake City

I enjoy going up to Salt Lake City. I try to go at least twice a year. Once in the summer and once in the winter usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are so many interesting things to photograph there.

A Nativity Scene at Temple Square

The first night I was there I walked down to Temple Square to see all the lights. The Mormons sure know how to decorate for Christmas. They have nativity scenes from a bunch of different cultures. It is always packed with people and really is a sight to see.

A Turkey at Hogle Zoo

Every time I go to Salt Lake one of my favorite places to visit is the Hogle Zoo. It is a real nice zoo with wild turkeys running around and a lot of other animals to shoot (photographically speaking of course).

Zoo Lights 2008 at Hogle Zoo

During the Christmas Season the zoo puts up thousands of lights all around the facility and plays Christmas music and sells fried smores and hot cocoa.

Lady Bird Johnsons Plane at Hill Air Force Base Museum

The other thing I did on this trip was meet up with the Photowalking Utah group and went on their event to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. It was a lot of fun to walk around with a bunch of photographers.
